Would you like to connect with other like-minded people online? Do you have hearing problems or a hearing loss? You may be interested to join our ‘Listening Together’ Facebook page. Listening Together is an online community for Western Australians, 18 years old and above who have a hearing loss.
This group is a place for members to share their thoughts and experiences with hearing loss, to meet other individuals who are facing similar challenges, and to listen and learn from one another. It will also be a place to share useful links and resources, and to have weekly themed discussions and guest speakers.
This group is part of a collaborative research project being conducted between Ear Science Institute Australia, University of Western Australia, WA Centre for Health & Ageing (WACHA) and Edith Cowan University (ECU). It is a closed online community that will only be accessible to individuals who have been invited by the project researchers.
If you are interested to join this Facebook Group, you will need to commit at least 15 minutes a day, 4 days a week, for 3 months, to the Group. In addition, you will be asked to attend a weekly online presentation for 30 minutes each week. You will be asked to complete an online survey prior to joining the group and after 3 months, which will take 30 minutes of your time each time. You will also be invited to take part in an optional exit interview for 1 hour at the end of the 3 month period.
