Showcasing our research

In June, the Ear Science Research teams welcomed two families to the Ralph and Patricia Sarich building—the Wheatley family and the King family—to get an insider look at our research projects.
Similar to the tour conducted for The Honorable Malcolm McCusker AC CVO QC CitWA and Tonya McCusker AM earlier this year, both families were shown the latest in technologies and hearing advancements in our working laboratory and clinical research facilities.
These tours are an excellent way to demonstrate to key donors and stakeholders the full breadth of work we do at Ear Science, and showcase how we translate our findings into real outcomes for patients.
A big thank you to all of the Ear Science staff who gave up their time to demonstrate and discuss your roles in the projects currently underway.
Recognise the Wheatley name?
Vern and Jo Wheatley have been long-term supporters of Ear Science. The second floor at the Clinical HQ in Subiaco is named after the couple, and the laboratory at the Research HQ in Nedlands is named in honour of the family’s Foundation.
